I purchased this product under the assumption that it had no artificial sweetneners, but it does. You can taste it immediately, plus it gave me serious indigestion. Keep looking for a better product.
I have a hard time believing that there isn’t any sugar in it. The flavor is like a chocolate cookie. I usually get cheaper whey powders; this has some other protein like egg and soy, which may be adding to the flavor. It is the best flavor of protein powder of the eight I’ve bought.
The ingredients list “cookie bits” and there is that texture. You might think that it didn’t dissolve completely. I kind of like it. The other thing that’s different is that it doesn’t pour out of the scoop, but comes out all at once. Probably the exotic omega-3 oils they add to it (“evening primrose”, “borage”).
The tub disappeared quickly; I think other members of the household liked it too!
I have been using Dymatize whey protein powders for years because of the good taste, good mixability, and affordibility. I purchased this one after seeing it for sale. Like other reviewers have said, it is not the same consistancy as other Dymatize Elite powders. It is different in that it has more of a chalk taste (pancake like is a good description by a reviewer) and is dusty as hell. Decent protein but I will switch back to Elite Whey after this tub. Not the best tasting and definitely not the easiest to mix, even in a blender it tastes chalky.
Probably one of Dymatize’ best flavors, I take it before bedtime, when slow-releasing protein aids the most, and I have yet to wake up hungry. I’d give it 5 stars but the powder is a bit weird in that it is dust-like and easily “puffs” and makes a mess.
GREAT PRODUCT. Got a great price on a “friday sale” and forgot about it. When it arrived I was shocked how big a tub 4.4 pounds was (and for less than the 2 pound brand I usually buy at Trader Joes)
Taste: EXCELLENT! ONE OF THE BEST I’VE TRIED.
Texture: Dissolves very well and little to no clumping.
